The history of Begal Enterprises is different than other disaster restoration firms and it’s a difference that is important to you.
The company was founded in 1999 by Bill Begal, whose family has more than half a century of experience in the dry cleaning business. Fresh out of college, Bill decided to try something a little different, moved to Los Angeles, and worked with a flood and fire restoration company. After a two year apprenticeship Bill returned to Washington DC. Using his on the job training and continual focus on high quality personal service instilled in him while working in his family’s business, he started Begal Enterprises.
Begal Enterprises became the “gold standard” of remediation and restoration companies. We were in New Orleans hours after Hurricane Katrina stormed through in 2005. Worked to save and restore commercial and a house of worship in Galveston after Hurricane Ike in 2008, and helped saved valuable property in Miami after Hurricane Wilma in 2005, and worked in Clearwater, Florida after Hurricane Jeanne in 2004.
When the “rain of the Millenium” hit Washington DC in June of 2006, Begal was chosen to clean up the flooded EPA headquarters building on Constitution Avenue. For that successful project BEI received the Restoration Industry Association’s Phoenix Award for innovation in restoration.
Begal has numerous successful projects for restaurants, hotels, high end department stores, class “A” office buildings and religious houses of worship. Increasingly people turn to Begal as a resource in disaster recovery planning, where our experience really pays off.
