Ambassador's Residence - Cote d'Ivoire Ė Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, DC

House fires are a disaster on many levels. Even when the human and animal occupants are uninjured, their lives can be disrupted for a very long time, and many of their most valuable possessions can be damaged or destroyed.

When called to the residence of the Ambassador from Cote díIvorie, Begal Enterprises faced two immediate tasks: board up the property to prevent intruders, and begin to identify the contents that sustained smoke damage and take them to be cleaned.

In this particular residence, some of the items most special to the Ambassadorís family were the bright and colorful articles of traditional clothing from their native land. Many of them were irreplaceable, and virtually all of them sustained heavy smoke damage. Anyone who has clothes that have been near a fire knows that the smell can be nearly impossible to get out.

Begalís crew carefully inventoried the clothing items, packed them carefully, and took them to our warehouse for storage and cleaning. Though weíve had many years experience handling valuable and delicate items in homes that have experienced a disaster, restoring this clothing to its original condition was going to be a challenge.

Challenge met and mission accomplished! Look at the photos of the restored clothing and youíll see the kind of care we take with every customer. Itís care that makes a difference.
